About Me
Currently living near Brighton, UK, I have recently completed my Masters in Computer Games Engineering at Newcastle University, for which I achieved a distinction grade. I have always been both technically and creatively minded, studying the likes of physics, chemistry, history and IT as well as media studies and Spanish. My bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy gave me strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as adaptability, critical thinking and an open mind.
Computer games have always been a large part of my life; from playing Rome: Total War and Rollercoaster Tycoon as a kid, up to the rounds of Warzone with my friends during lockdown; I have been a keen gamer from a young age. However it was the beauty, expanse and historiography of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey that really inspired me to become a computer games designer and engineer.
History is a passion of mine and I frequently read around the subject. I worked at Hampton Court Palace before my Masters, which inspired the topic of my dissertation project [Click to view] and I also studied an undergrad history module. To be involved in the production of a historical game is a long term goal.
From a young age I have been heavily involved in sport. This includes football, for which I was scouted by Brighton & Hove Albion, enrolling in their Centre of Excellence, and tennis, where I represented my University as both President and by competing in the BUCS leagues. On top of this I am a keen skier, having started at the age of 13, and also played ice hockey during my time at University.
On the more creative level, I am skilled in video editing software, such as Final Cut, posting YouTube tutorials with over 100k views, as well as Photoshop and Logic Pro X music production. Finally, I love story writing and I am currently roughly 70,000 words into a historical fantasy novel.
